As for the weapons, we lost Durga which had fast lightning attacks that were good for blitzing enemies and slow but hard hitting fire attacks that also leave behind bombs that do insane damage. Also torture attacks are useless because you can't build magic fast enough in 2 to justify using them over Umbran Climax.
Wicked weaves feel like they chip in 2 when they chunked in 1. Yes, Bayo controls a little more fluidly, but it doesn't matter when enemies have combo-breaking attacks and Bayo's damage has been nerfed across the board to justify the existence of Umbran Climax.
The combat of 2 is more clunky and the weapons are less useful.
